Quite a Day

well, this is from the latest Gilmore Girls episode I watched this morning.... from yesterday I think for any of you GG junkies (definitely me). This is a conversation between Luke and Lorelai... but I'm gonna change one [key word] to suite my needs, for the use of expression....

LL: Quite a day you've had

L: Oh, its been delightful. I think Bobby McPherson is gonna write one of those happy Boo, Boop, Dee, Doo songs of his about this.

L: What a lie it all is....
LL: What all is?
L: [relationships] - it's like a spilled drink that just keeps spilling and you just gotta keep cleaning it up, and you scrub and you scrub.... and you just can't get the stain up. Show me a happy [relationship] .... just... just ONE. I mean, didnt that Tol story guy say something about [relationships]?

LL: probably
L: its a famous thing he said, it's like all [relationships] are unhappy, or, or, or, or, happy on the surface, unhappy in the same way... I don't know.

LL: sounds a little incomplete....
L: well maybe he couldnt complete the thought because he was dealing with a stinking [relationship].

LL: do the Hallmark people know about you? because you're a natural
L: I'm TIRED of cleaning up messes, I'm... I'm TIRED of helping people who do NOTHING to help themselves

LL: I'm sorry you're so upset

LL: try to get some sleep, some rest, watch a little TV - no [relationship] shows
