October?

Egads its already October! This time of year has always been my favorite. The crisp snap in the air, the just perfect temperatures to start that light winter layering - chill nipping at your nose...

but added to that is the memories of bonfires, chai latte, hot apple cider, Carolina Pale Ale, Cider Beer, beef jerky vendors, bread bowl soups, scotch eggs, turkey legs for the hounds, corsets, hoopskirts, miles upon miles of walking, the death march, camping for 7 weekends straight - early mornings with mist clinging in the air - late nights around bon fires and portapotties, sneaking a late night run in the jousting pit with the hounds, the anticipation of opening cannon, getting down to our skivies as soon as closing cannon goes off.... reuniting with friends i see twice a year from all over the US and neighboring countries, didjerydoos, the drummer boys, terry foy and spoonerisms, being Feuter to the hounds, dressing to the 9's 16th century style, slaughtering attempts at 16th century old english and trying my damndest to stay in character, griping about 'stupid patrons', "is that a whipet?", 10 things i'd like to say to a patron, ... and the ever present "hang on to somethin babeh" ....

For the past 3 years i've missed out on the fun of CRF :( well this makes the third year ... missing this indescribably fun 7 (oct-nov) weeks the past 2 years threw me into a serious tailspin of depression. This year i also missed GARF (march - april) - and that was another tailspin of depression. Will i make it this year without a meltdown?

i feel like the the white rabbit .... No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I'm overdue! I'm really in a stew! No time to say goodbye...hello! I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!!

anyone have one of those lil matrix pills handy so i can go down the rabbit hole??
